Three Jackson State University football players were killed when their car left a rural road near the east Mississippi town of Macon and slammed into a tree 90 feet from the highway, authorities said.
Noxubee County Coroner Willie R. Willie identified the victims as freshman linebacker Casey A. Conner, 19; sophomore defensive back Charles Edward Ford, 20; and freshman linebacker Mike Kimble, 22.
