Lincoln Blvd. Development

Share

It is ludicrous for the cities of Los Angeles County to accuse each other and to fight overdevelopment. By the time the developers have clogged Lincoln Boulevard, the Metropolitan Water District will be rationing water, lung disease will have disabled our children and the harried adults will be killing each other like experimental rats in an overcrowded cage.

Why is it that gridlock and air pollution are always considered more important than water supply and sewer capacity? If citizens could forget their jealousies and consider these horrors as one problem, we might be able to influence our own elected champions of developers, who cannot see beyond their own back yard because of the smog of rivalry.
