3.5 Aftershock Rattles Upland Area Again; Police Get No Calls

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake, another in the more than 1,000 aftershocks to the 5.5-magnitude Upland temblor of Feb. 28, settled unobtrusively beneath Claremont on Thursday night, causing no damage or injuries, authorities said.
“People must be getting used to it,” Upland Police Sgt. Dan Milakovich said of the 8:24 p.m. quake. “We didn’t get a call.”
In Claremont, Police Lt. Ted Kamena was lightheartedly laying claim to Thursday’s quake--and to all of those following the February temblor.
“This has always been our quake,” he said. “The latest readings put it squarely beneath our city.”
