Major Harris is going to the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League, the agent for the star West Virginia quarterback said after watching some of the NFL draft on television.

“When Major didn’t go in the second round, I turned the television off,” Ed Abram said Sunday night. “I talked to Major after the draft and he said, “Let’s do it (go to the Lions).’ ”

“Both parties want to be with each other,” Abram said, so the deal should be done “in a few days.”

Harris, 22, whose CFL rights are owned by the Lions, had been waiting for the NFL draft to see when he would be taken. But he wasn’t chosen during the five rounds Sunday in which 140 players and eight quarterbacks were picked.
