Opinions on Why Prime-Time Viewership Has Dropped

Share

Re “Number of Viewers Watching Prime-Time Television Drops,” April 18:

I am impressed by the level of restraint demonstrated by staff writer Jane Hall.

Since I am no longer a highly paid television production executive, I can tell you why the number of viewers watching prime-time television has dropped. In spite of the marvelous televisionese spouted by the executives quoted in the article, the real reasons are: (1) stupid, inane, copycat programming and (2) too many commercials!

There, now that wasn’t so difficult, was it? . . .
