Baseball players have ratified the new four-year collective bargaining agreement, the Major League Baseball Players Assn. said today.

Owners last week approved the contract, which runs through Dec. 31, 1993. The deal may be reopened by either side after the 1992 season.

Mark Belanger, the assistant to union chief Donald Fehr, said not all the ballots were counted yet. Today was the deadline for ratification.

“We are still short three clubs,” Belanger said. “But even if they all came in negative, it would still be ratified.”
