STANTON : 1 Killed, 1 Injured in Motorcycle Crash
A Stanton motorcyclist was killed and his 20-year-old passenger was seriously injured Monday when their motorcycle hit the center divider on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad, the California Highway Patrol said.
Beniamino Orlando Rocco, 22, of Stanton was headed north at 4:05 a.m. when his motorcycle hit the guardrail on a curve about half a mile south of Tamarack Avenue, the CHP said. Rocco died at the scene.
Inan Herrmann, 20, of Cypress, suffered injuries to his chest, head and stomach, and was listed in fair condition at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
