Petty Cash Stolen in Break-In at City Hall
Authorities discovered Monday that Santa Clarita City Hall had been broken into during the weekend and two cash boxes emptied of small amounts of money, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The break-in was discovered when employees arrived for work, deputies said. Investigators were unable to pinpoint when it occurred.
File cabinets and a storage room in the finance office had been ransacked and an undisclosed but small amount of petty cash had been taken.
There were no suspects, deputies said.
