Ventura Freeway Lanes to Be Closed

Work on widening the Ventura Freeway will require nighttime lane closures in Tarzana this weekend, the state Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
Two eastbound and two westbound lanes will be closed between White Oak Avenue and Reseda Boulevard from 11 tonight to 10 a.m. Saturday, Caltrans announced.
Also, two eastbound lanes will be closed between Wilbur and Lindley avenues from 11 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday.
Caltrans Senior Resident Engineer Keith Eoff said the lane closures are required for crews to revamp concrete slabs next to the Lindley Avenue and Burbank Boulevard overcrossings.
“These large slabs of concrete require long hours to safely remove and replace,” Eoff said.
