Gary Frederick, athletic director and women’s basketball coach at Central Washington University, has been accused by former and current Central Washington athletes of improperly giving cash to players, according to a published report.

The players said Frederick paid players’ bills or offered to pay bills, lent them money and handed out small amounts of cash.

Frederick denied the allegations, which were published in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
