Wright Qualifies Twice for 1-A Track Finals

Renee Wright of Orange Lutheran High School was the top qualifier in the 300-meter hurdles and was second in the 100 hurdles at the Southern Section 1-A track and field preliminaries Saturday at Arcadia High School.

Wright, a junior, ran a 47.04 in the 300 and a 15.54 in the 100. The top nine finishers in each event advance to the championships Friday at Cerritos College. Erika Ebel of Orange Lutheran jumped 35 feet 6 3/4 inches to finish third in the triple jump.
