Police Search for Weapon, Suspects in Killings of 3 Men Near Downtown
Police were searching for suspects and a murder weapon Tuesday in the bludgeoning deaths of three men in their small downtown-area apartment.
Officers said they found the partially clothed bodies of the three men Monday night after a neighbor, concerned that she had not seen the men for more than a day, called police. The murders apparently took place sometime last weekend, detectives said.
Police did not immediately release the names of the victims, all of whom were said to be in their early 40s and had been living in the building in the 3200 block of South Main Street for several months.
“There’s no known motive, no known suspects,” Detective Don Watson of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division homicide squad said. “We don’t have a whole lot.”
Investigators said there was no sign of forced entry into the apartment.
