Pyramids Selected for War Memorial
A design that features four black marble pyramids has been selected by the Oxnard War Memorial Committee for the city’s tribute to Oxnard citizens who died in wars.
The design by Elizabeth Nevandro Perez, an apprentice architect from Thousand Oaks, beat out 28 other entries. Each of the pyramids will represent veterans and the dead from World Wars I and II, the Korean and Vietnam wars.
