Texas sports agent Lance Luchnick pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of violating Alabama’s sports-agent registration law and was fined $5,000.
The plea-bargain agreement for a misdemeanor allowed Luchnick to avoid a felony charge for his representation of Tampa Bay Buccaneer linebacker Keith McCants during NFL negotiations. Those negotiations followed the Mobile native’s decision to give up his senior season at the University of Alabama to turn pro.
