Malathion Miseries: Spray and Noise Fill the Air Over County

Share

Why do those who are appointed by us to do the best for us refuse to refrain from spraying malathion when so many of us want the spraying to stop?

It is difficult to understand, is it not?

It is especially difficult because a substantial number of those people asking for a hiatus in the cavalier method of spraying malathion are learned men, scientists and doctors.

Why are their warnings not heeded?

We can speculate all day long as to the true reasons that the malathion spraying continues, but I think it comes down to plain bad judgment on the part of our public officials.

I propose that those who make the critical decisions that affect the health of so many be advised that responsibility follows such actions, that they can be tried for crimes against humanity if it is proven that they did not fully research all of the possibilities of such actions, and that they will be prosecuted as were those individuals tried and found guilty of crimes against humanity during World War II.

Perhaps then more thought would be given to an action that could adversely affect so many for generations to come.

Someday there may be more oranges than people to eat them.
