Two visual artists, one from Orange County, will be recommended for continued funding to work in Orange County under the California Arts Council’s two-year Artist-in-Resident program. Mary-Linn Hughes of Huntington Beach would continue her workshops at Laguna Shanti, a Laguna Beach-based AIDS service agency. Joan E. Popovich-Kutscher of Pomona would continue helping children create art at the Taft Hearing Impaired School in Santa Ana. The CAC is scheduled to vote on these grant requests July 27.
