3 Killed, 1 Critically Injured in Shooting : Murder-Suicide Takes Lives of 3, Wounds 1

A man shot and killed his estranged wife and daughter, wounded a second daughter, and then killed himself at a Hollywood apartment Tuesday, police said.

In the apartment on North Ardmore Avenue, police found the bodies of Jose Osorio, 40, and his estranged wife, Maria, 34, and their daughter, Gisela, 14. Each was shot once in the head, Lt. Bob Ruchhoft said. Another daughter, Maria, 13, shot in the mouth by a bullet that lodged in her shoulder, was in stable condition at Childrens Hospital.

A .38 caliber revolver was on the floor close to the body of Jose, he said. The location of the revolver and information from a girlfriend of the daughters, who witnessed at least one of the shootings, led police to believe that the father fired the shots, he said.
