Not Like a Virgin: Madonna almost wound up behind bars just before she went on stage for the last of her three shows at Toronto’s Skydome on Tuesday because of alleged obscenity. Morality Squad officers and other police officials tried to warn her to alter the show’s provocative content or face arrest. They said they were acting on complaints from attendees at the earlier shows that the concerts contained acts of lewdness. Madonna’s manager Freddy DeMann intervened, saying Madonna’s “artistic vision” would not be altered. The show went on with no arrests.
