From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A San Diego man was released from County Jail after police said that, for now, they have eliminated him as a suspect in the murder of one of three young women killed in the city’s Clairemont area since Jan. 12. Luis Alberto Lebron, 31, a former Marine employed as a tanker-truck driver delivering gasoline to service stations, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of murdering Holly Suzanne Tarr, 18, who was stabbed to death April 3. Tarr was one of three young women who were stabbed to death within a two-block area. Police said Lebron had been under surveillance because he matched the description of a man seen fleeing the scene moments after Tarr was murdered.
