Mom, Apple Pie and No Commercials: KCOP-TV Channel 13 will prove its independence on July 4 by showing nine classic films unedited and without commercials. Station officials said the films represent a cross-section of movies that could only have been made in the United States. The 22-hour marathon, which will start at midnight on July 3, will include “On the Waterfront,” “Now Voyager,” “The Right Stuff,” “The Alamo,” “The Music Man,” “West Side Story,” “A Star is Born (with Judy Garland),” “Red River” and “Bonnie and Clyde.”
