Obituaries : Dalton Noah Woodall; Camera Stores Owner

Dalton Noah Woodall, owner of two camera stores and a member of the executive council of the Verdugo Hills Council of Boy Scouts of America, died last week of leukemia in Glendale. He was 59.

After serving as a photographer in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955, Woodall assumed the family business of Woodall’s Camera Shop in Tujunga. He later closed that store and opened two others in Montrose and Glendale.

He served as president of the Chevy Chase Country Club in 1969 and of the West Glendale Kiwanis Club from 1971 to 1972. He was a member of the Glendale city Parking Commission from 1971 to 1978. He was elected to the Boy Scouts council in 1986.

He was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Malvern, Ark. He died May 28.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Woodall of Glendale; sons, Howard Woodall and Tom Woodall of Glendale, and Neil Woodall of Newport Beach; daughter, Janet LeCheminant of Glendale; mother, Ruby Woodall of Glendale, and six grandchildren.

Arrangements for the funeral services Saturday were made by Kiefer & Eyerick Mortuary in Glendale, and burial was at Forest Lawn Glendale. Contributions may be sent to the Verdugo Hills Council of Boy Scouts of America at 1325 Grandview Ave., Glendale, 91202.
