LOCAL : Man Shot in Beverly Hills House

A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds this morning when he and a woman companion were confronted by a gunman at a home in Beverly Hills.
The 42-year-old victim was undergoing surgery at the UCLA Medical Center. There was no immediate report on his condition or the extent of his injuries.
Fire officials said the shooting occurred about 10 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of South Canon Drive that recently had been offered for sale. They said the sounds of the shots and the woman’s screams prompted neighbors to call police. No one has been arrested.
