The Los Angeles Heat of the American Professional Soccer League West defeated the Portland Timbers, 4-3, in a shootout Saturday night at Portland.
The Heat, which lost to the Seattle Storm, 3-2, Friday night, is 5-5 in the APSL Southern Division.
