How the West Was Rerun: Saddle up, TV buckaroos. Reruns of “Bret Maverick,” the ‘81-’82 series starring James Garner as an 1880s Arizona rancher and saloon owner, will be riding onto the airwaves starting July 6 on NBC at 8 p.m. NBC will also bring back “The Yellow Rose” a 1983-84 soap opera starring Cybill Shepherd and Sam Elliott that was set on a contemporary Texas ranch. It will follow “Bret Maverick” at 9 p.m. NBC is moving “Midnight Caller” from 10 p.m. Tuesdays to 10 p.m. Fridays on July 6.
