San Diego
A power outage caused by a faulty wire left a strip of downtown San Diego without electricity for about four hours Thursday. SDG&E; spokesman Jessie Flores said the blackout affected about “82 customers, mostly businesses.”
According to Flores, the affected area stretched from Harbor Drive, east to Ash and 1st Avenue, to Broadway. Some office high-rises were affected because the power was out from about 3 to 6:40 p.m.
