Lakewood : $204 Council Pay Raise on Agenda for Next Meeting
- Share via
City Council members may give themselves a $204 pay raise at their next meeting July 10, but they would not be eligible to receive it until after the next city election in April, 1992.
A memorandum from City Atty. John Todd said council members have not had a raise since 1986. They currently earn $600 a month. California law allows a 5% pay increase per year, Todd said.
Vice Mayor Robert Wagner said: “We really should address the issue every two years.”
