Police Probe Slaying of Encanto Woman
San Diego homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 32-year-old Encanto woman who was shot and killed in a residence in Southeast San Diego.
Deborah Jean Billingsley, also known as Sykes, of the 900 block of 57th Street, was shot in the back shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday at a residence in the 3700 block of Acacia Street, officials said.
Billingsley was pronounced dead by paramedics at 4:04 a.m., Deputy Coroner Max Murphy said.
Details of the slaying were sketchy. Investigators said no motive had been determined.
