Harrah’s Headliner Room Is History: Harrah’s Headliner Room, one of the last bastions of big-name entertainment in Reno, will become a cabaret-lounge next year, featuring a nightly revue. Officials said that the planned conversion of the 24-year-old showroom into an “intimate nightclub” was a response to a changing entertainment scene. The increasing cost of paying for top-name entertainers and the difficulty of finding those who will perform two shows nightly influenced the decision. The loss of the Headliner Room will leave the Reno area with only three stages designed for top-name acts--Bally’s, the Sparks Nugget and the Flamingo Hilton.
