Charlie Sheen says he’s pulled out of the fast lane. “I’m fortunate to recognize what may have been a problem and nip it although I wasn’t on the verge of checking into the Betty Ford Clinic or any of that,” Sheen, star of the new movie “Navy Seals,” told The Boston Globe. “I won’t say I’m in bed by 10 each night and drinking only Perrier, no, no. But I’ll watch a few more ball games at home instead of going out and firebombing a police station” . . . Rock singer David Lee Roth will be a judge at the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue cookoff in Lynchburg, Tenn., this fall. The festival also will include pig races, a greased pole climbing contest and a tractor pull.
