Pasadena : Bond Issue Approved
The city will issue $20.9 million in bonds to help pay for 59 electric projects totaling $83.7 million over the next five years. City Directors on Tuesday approved issuance of the bonds.
Also approved was a $2.6-million contract with A-C Equipment Services Corp. to inspect and overhaul the turbine generator in the city’s Broadway Steam Plant.
The work will begin in December and will be completed in May. The generator was last inspected in 1985. That report indicated that 19 rows of high-pressure blades and four rows of low-pressure blades need to be replaced.
