The bodies of two fishermen who fell into the water of the California Aqueduct were recovered by Sheriff’s Department divers this morning, authorities said.

The first body was pulled from the aqueduct about 7:45 a.m. and the second at 8:35 a.m., Sgt. Roger Hom said.

“The bodies were found 15 feet apart in 30 feet of water in the center of the aqueduct, about 500 feet from where they fell in,” Deputy Gabe Ramirez said.
