Orioles Get Kittle in Deal for Bradley
The Baltimore Orioles traded outfielder Phil Bradley to the Chicago White Sox for first baseman Ron Kittle, Oriole spokesman Bob Miller said late Sunday night.
Bradley, a 31-year-old right-handed hitting outfielder, is in the last year of his contract with the Orioles and was eligible for free agency at the end of the season.
Bradley, hitting .270 with four home runs and 26 RBIs, had expressed displeasure at the course of recent contract talks.
Miller said both players are expected to report to their respective new teams in time for tonight’s games.
