National Lampoon Inc. has dismissed Editor-in-Chief Billy Kimball. The financially troubled company gave no reason for the decision but said it expects to name a new editor shortly. National Lampoon, the company behind the humor magazine and the films of the same name, was acquired in March by video distributor J2 Communications in a stock swap valued at about $4.7 million. Kimball had joined the 20-year-old magazine prior to the acquisition.
