Ruth C. Emge; Retired Engineering Mechanic

Ruth C. Emge, who worked for Litton Industries in Woodland Hills for 27 years, has died in Lancaster. She was 72.
A resident of Palmdale, Mrs. Emge died Friday of natural causes following a recent heart attack, said her daughter, Maryann Durocher.
Born Ruth Crain in Missouri, she came to California in 1941. In 1960, she went to work as an engineering mechanic for Litton Guidance and Control Systems, assembling guidance systems from blueprints. In 1987, she retired and moved from Canoga Park to Palmdale.
She is survived by her daughters, Maryann Durocher and Linda Webb of Palmdale; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today in the Chapel of the Oaks at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Mortuary, 5600 N. Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village, which is handling the arrangements. Burial will be private.
