Slade’s Home Run Lifts Woodland Hills to Little League Win

Jesse Slade led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a home run to send Woodland Hills to a 3-2 victory over Rancho Penasquitos on Tuesday in the consolation semifinal of the state Division 2 Little League baseball tournament at Stearns Park in Long Beach.
Left-hander Jared Sandler, who struck out nine and allowed one hit, picked up the win in the game for all-star players aged 11-12 .
