Cuyamaca Rancho Fire Under Control
The fire in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park south of Julian that has charred more than 400 acres of brush and forest since Monday was controlled early Wednesday and was expected to be fully extinguished by late Wednesday night, said Delores Fremter, a spokesman with the California Department of Forestry.
The fire, which injured three of the more than 700 firemen who have fought it, was started by lightning.
