THE SIDELINES : Auburn Center to Move West

AUBURN, Ala. —
Auburn’s Brian Baumgartner, a 6-foot-9 center who played sparingly as a freshman, has decided to transfer to a West Coast school to be closer to his family, Tigers Coach Tommy Joe Eagles said today.
Baumgartner, who is from Las Vegas, appeared in 14 games for Auburn last season, playing a total of 46 minutes. He averaged 0.9 points and the same number of rebounds per game while playing behind starting center Zane Arnold.
