The Harlem Globetrotters basketball team, which had planned to hold its 1991 season training camp at Moorpark College, has moved it to Orlando, Fla., team officials announced Tuesday.

The team moved so it could tape an exhibition game for the annual “ABC Wide World of Sports” television special at Walt Disney World in Florida, Globetrotters spokesman Thomas J. Abramson said in a prepared statement.

The Globetrotters had planned to hold a two-week training camp at Moorpark College Raider Pavilion, beginning Aug. 27 and ending with an exhibition game Sept. 9 between the Globetrotters and the Washington Generals. Tickets had not yet been sold.

“Moorpark has been contacted with our regrets, and at this time we are making arrangements for our Harlem Globetrotters 1992 season training camp to be held at their location,” Abramson said.
