ANAHEIM : Blaze Damages Silk-Screen Firm
More than 55 firefighters worked for about 40 minutes to contain a structure fire that caused $80,000 damage to an Anaheim silk-screening and graphic art company, authorities said Tuesday.
No injuries were reported in the fire that burned through the Joy Art Co. at 312 N. Anaheim Blvd. at 11 p.m. Monday.
Fire investigators Tuesday had not yet determined the cause of blaze.
The Set-Free Christian Fellowship church and warehouse, located next to the building that burned, received minor exterior damage, authorities said.
Anaheim’s hazardous materials crew responded to the scene to dike and mop up the water runoff used to battle the fire because it contained ink, paint thinner, paint and other chemicals used in the silk screening process.
