The Marcos Collection: Christie’s New York will sell the silverware and paintings collected by the late Ferdinand Marcos and his wife, Imelda, at two auctions in January. A Philippine government official who tracked down the Marcoses’ wealth said the collection includes Italian paintings and 18th- and 19th-Century English silver. The collection is expected to bring approximately $10 million. Stephen Lash, executive vice president of Christie’s, said that one painting, by Raphael, could fetch up to $2 million.
