SIMI VALLEY : Noise Dispute Leads to Shooting Arrest

Share

A Simi Valley man, annoyed by noise from a neighbor’s house, was arrested after he fired shots at the neighbor and his friend, authorities said Monday.

Ronald Wright, 52, was being held in the Ventura County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, a jail spokesman said. Bail was set at $10,000.

Lt. Neal Rein of the Simi Valley Police Department said Wright was angered by noise that his neighbor, Bruce Anthony, was making while working on a car about 9:40 p.m. Sunday. Wright walked over to Anthony’s house and the two began arguing, Rein said.

Wright then pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds at Anthony and Anthony’s friend, Ernst Stirnkorb, 67, Rein said.

Both Anthony and Stirnkorb fled. Neither was injured, Rein said.
