Less than three months after breaking his legs and an arm in a spill at Hollywood Park, Chris McCarron will ride this afternoon at Del Mar.

The 35-year-old jockey, who was hurt when maidens J. Nic’s Desire and Full Design went down in the third race on June 3, will be aboard Icy Amber for trainer Brian Mayberry in the fifth race, and Native Pocket for Gary Jones in the sixth.

Agent Scotty McClellan has two maidens lined up for McCarron Friday--Y’All Sing in the second and Pink Halo in the sixth. McCarron, who has been getting on horses for the past 10 days, will also ride Royal Reach in the $300,000 Cabrillo Saturday and Bidder Cream in Sunday’s $150,000 Del Mar Oaks.
