Garagiola Sidelined: As of Tuesday, Joe Garagiola won’t be in his seat at the anchor desk on NBC’s “Today” show. Garagiola, who returned to the show in June, will be absent for four weeks. The former catcher is undergoing what NBC described as routine elective surgery this week and will recuperate at home. He’ll resume his Tuesday-Thursday “Today” schedule Oct. 2.
