It’s Sunny and Excited Win Divisions of Dancer Memorial

FREEHOLD, N.J. — It’s Sunny and Excited captured their respective divisions of the 15th annual Helen Dancer Memorial Pace for 3-year-old fillies Monday at Freehold Raceway.
Driven by Carmine Abbatiello, It’s Sunny won by three-quarters of a length to finish in 1:57 4/5 for her eighth victory in 24 starts this year.
Sent off at 6-1 odds, It’s Sunny paid $14.20, $7 and $2.20. Lady Dynamo returned $7.80 and $2.10 to place with Bruce’s Lady paying $2.10 to show.
In the second division, Excited and driver William Fahy won by 2 1/4 lengths in 1:57 3/5 over Only Child and Armbro Ilona.
The 8-5 betting favorite, Excited paid $5.40, $3.60 and $2.20. Only Child paid $8.20 and $2.40 with Armbro Ilona paying $2.40 to show.
