Fire Damages UCSD Medical Office
A fire swept through a satellite office of the UC San Diego Medical Center Saturday night, causing an estimated $500,000 damage to its contents, the San Diego Fire Department reported.
The fire erupted about 6:30 p.m. at the three-story building in the 3900 block of Fourth Avenue, fire officials said, and was contained primarily to the second floor.
A fire department spokesman said most of the damage was to computers in the building, which housed no patients.
