Pictures of people burning to death should not be front-page material for at least two reasons.
First, there are many sensitive people, like me, who can’t handle seeing dead, mangled or mutilated bodies the first thing in the morning. I, and I’m sure many others, need at least a few pages to warm up to such horror.
Second, there are many children who see the front page of a newspaper but rarely find their way into the inner pages. Why should a parent have to begin the day answering the question, “What’s that?” Have you no obligation to help protect children from their inevitably premature indoctrination into the adult world?
