William H. Lincolnfelter; Maintenance Supervisor

William H. Lincolnfelter, retired maintenance supervisor and a longtime former resident of Pacoima, has died in Lancaster. He was 66.

Lincolnfelter, who has lived in Quartz Hill for the past four years, died Friday of diabetes complications, said his wife, Ethel Lincolnfelter.

He was born on New Year’s Day, 1924, in Los Angeles. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of sergeant. From the mid-1940s to 1965, he served as a sergeant in the National Guard.

Lincolnfelter was later hired by the city of Los Angeles as a truck driver and continued to work for the city until 1985, when he retired as a street maintenance supervisor.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years; son Marshall Lincolnfelter of Sylmar; daughter Elizabeth Gray of Lancaster; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 10886 Lehigh Ave. in Pacoima, with burial to follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills. Noble Chapel in San Fernando is handling the arrangements. Donations can be made in Lincolnfelter’s name to the American Diabetes Assn.
