Police arrested an unemployed electrician for allegedly kidnaping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in the 200 block of Shady Lane early Tuesday morning, police said.

Thomas Francis Fenger, 46, of El Cajon was booked into County Jail with bail set at $25,000.

The victim told police she was waiting for a friend outside her apartment building about 1:30 a.m. when she was approached by Fenger, who asked if she wanted to go with him to his trailer, said Lt. Carl Case. When she refused, Fenger allegedly grabbed her and forced her into his car, Case said.

Fenger allegedly drove the girl to his trailer, Case said, adding that once inside the trailer, the girl was made to drink liquor.

Fenger then allegedly sexually assaulted the teen-ager and hit her over the head with a bottle to keep her from leaving, Case said. The girl managed to break away and escape, and ran home to tell her mother, who called police, Case said.

After interviewing the victim, officers went to Fenger’s trailer and took him into custody, Case said. He was charged with a variety of felony crimes, including kidnaping, sexual battery, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and child molestation.
