Coach John Cooper has been roasted by at least one local television sports anchor. The same TV station ran a telephone poll to determine how many people agreed with the abrupt conclusion to the game. And the Ohio State student newspaper ran an editorial Wednesday headlined, “Coop, Coop, Cooper is a quit, quit, quitter.”

Air Force quarterback Ron Gray, who started the Falcons’ first four games, will undergo surgery on his injured knee next week and will not play again this season, Coach Fisher DeBerry said.
