JUST SAY YES?: Now we know why Perry Farrell calls his band Jane’s Addiction. In a strikingly candid interview with Hits magazine last week, the much-praised rock singer was asked to describe his experiences with heroin. “I think it’s great,” said Farrell. “I don’t think it’s anybody’s business if I want to sit there and bang myself on the head with a board. Maybe I’m just too damn smart and I’m doing it for a reason. Maybe I need to chill out a little bit. If you don’t get anything extra for being healthy, why should you be penalized for being a little sick?” . . . How’s this for a hot duo: Wanting a fresh look at LL Cool J, Spin magazine recruited boxing great Mike Tyson to do the magazine’s interview with the rap star, which will surface in Spin’s December issue. . . . And in a cover story in this month’s Fame magazine, Whitney Houston finally went on the record, denying reports that she is gay. She even joked about the widespread rumors, saying, “Once I heard I slept with Anita Baker!”
